no_connect: could not connect to the mail server
unknown reason: no_connect
EEV could not open a connection to the domain's mail server. No credit is used.
What it means
The domain has a mail server, but the connection to it could not be opened, so the mailbox was never checked.
Like every unknown result, no_connect does not use a credit.
Why it happens
- The mail server is offline or refusing connections at the moment.
- A firewall that blocks connections from verification services.
What to do
- Verify the address again later.
- If many addresses of the same domain return
no_connect, the domain is likely blocking verification; decide by your own risk policy instead of retrying.
