Disposable email addresses: what disposable: true means
valid disposable: true
The address belongs to a known temporary (disposable) email service.
What it means
Disposable email services create inboxes that work for minutes or days, with no sign-up. People use them to get a download or a trial without giving their real address.
The mailbox may exist right now, so the result can be valid, but safe_to_send is false: the inbox will soon disappear, nobody reads it after that, and it will not become a customer you can reach.
Why it happens
- Sign-ups for free content, trials or coupons by people who do not want follow-up emails.
- Fake accounts created in bulk.
What to do
- Block disposable addresses in signup forms when the account or trial has value, and ask for a permanent address.
- Remove them from marketing lists.
